I’m sure you like the Internet and most probably you own a digital camera too. If so, please take a moment to thank today’s three Nobel prizewinners for their discoveries and changing our lives for ever.
The three American scientists, honored with the 2009 Physics prize, helped give us modern telecommunications–including the Internet–and digital photography. Fiber optic cable makes the high-speed communications possible, while charge-coupled devices (CCDs) are the cornerstone of digital photography.

Huge number of mobile handsets may face disconnection by  December 1st, 2009, following a directive by the Department of Telecom (DOT), banning all handsets that do not carry the legitimate International Mobile Equipment Identify (IMEI) number according to Indian Cellular Association (ICA), the mobile industry apex body.
IMEI number was a 15-digit code that identifies a mobile and helps prevent use of stolen handsets for making calls by enabling security agencies to track down the specific user.

Twitter & Airtel : SMS tweets now available in india.

What’s new with Twitter @ Airtel?
 
Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications. The service today in India works only on a web or a WAP site (basically needing the consumer to be internet ready). Finally Twitter will be available in India on SMS only on the Airtel network. There is exclusive period, in which only Airtel consumers will be able to use the service on SMS across the nation.

Reva NXR and Reva NXG, the next generation car !

REVA NXR (NeXt Reva) has been launched in the 63rd Frankfurt International Motor Show. The new REVA is a lithium-ion powered electric car from REVA Electric Car Company which is scheduled to go into production early 2010. Also being unveiled for the first time is REVA’s showcar, the REVA NXG (NeXt Generation), which is the company’s 2011 model. The company has priced Reva NXR at 14,995 euros and Reva NXG at 23,000 euros excluding the cost of battery in European market.

Why Obama shouldn’t have received the Peace Prize !

The president may be an inspirational figure, and he’s not George Bush, but that’s not enough. He needs to deliver.
Obama’s only real diplomatic accomplishment so far has been to change the direction and tone of American foreign policy from unilateral bullying to multilateral listening and cooperating. That’s important, to be sure, but not nearly enough. The Prize is really more of a Booby Prize for Obama’s predecessor. Had the world not suffered eight years of George W.
